Emmett Stowell

About Me

Emmett Stowell is an actor and musician based in Montpelier, VT. His previous credits include George Gibbs in Our Town with Lost Nation Theater; Emmett Forrest in Legally Blonde: The Musical and Bobby Strong in Urinetown with MASQUE Theatre; William Barfée in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee with Hub Stage; Hamlet/Bottom in Such Stuff as Dreams Are Made On with Dirt Road Theater; and Tom Collins in RENT! with Acorn Youth Arts, among many others. Emmett has also music directed and written original songs for Dirt Road Theater. When not acting, he enjoys playing, touring, and performing traditional music with his band Sap Line and in the duo Fiona and Emmett. His past music performances include the 2024 Sutton Traditional Fiddle Festival, Fête de Mai 2023, the 2023 Campfire Festival at Club Passim in Massachusetts, the Brownington Ceilidh Club, performances for Burlington City Arts, and appearances as part of the Feast & Field Concert Series.
